The First Coast Worksite Wellness Council and title sponsor, Florida Blue, were honored to host the 9th Annual Worksite Wellness Conference and Healthiest Companies Luncheon on May 10th, 2017 at the University of North Florida.
This year’s conference theme was “Wellness On Purpose." The health of our local organizations and their employees makes a huge impact on the First Coast community's ability to grow and thrive. Our goals with this conference are:
Laura Putnam, MA - Workplace Wellness That Works
Author of Workplace Wellness That Works (WILEY, 2015), is CEO and founder of Motion Infusion. With a mission to get organizations “in motion,” Laura is a frequent keynote speaker and has worked with a range of organizations from Fortune 500s to government agencies to academic institutes and nonprofits. She is the recipient of the American Heart Association's "2020 Impact" award as well as the National Wellness Institute’s “Circle of Leadership” award. A graduate of Brown University and Stanford University, Laura lives in San Francisco with her fiancé.
Victor J. Strecher, PhD, MPH - "Life On Purpose: From Wellness to Engaged Wellbeing in the Digital Age"
Professor and Director for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship University of Michigan Schools of Public Health and Medicine. Founder and President, JOOL Health, Inc. Vic Strecher is a behavioral scientist, professor, and Director of Innovation at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health. In 1995, Vic founded the UM Center for Health Communications Research (www.chcr.umich.edu)[firstcoastwwc.us5.list-manage.com]. In 2015 he founded JOOL Health (www.joolhealth.com), a digital health solution company that integrates the science of health and well-being, advanced smartphone and biometric technology, and big data analytics. His most recent book (available May, 2016) is Life On Purpose: How Living for What Matters Most Changes Everything (HarperOne).
