The First Coast Worksite Wellness Council and title sponsor, Florida Blue, were honored to host the 15th Annual Worksite Wellness Conference and Healthiest Companies Luncheon on May 3rd, 2023, at the University of North Florida.

The health of our local organizations and their employees makes a huge impact on the First Coast community's ability to grow and thrive. Our goals with this conference are:

  • Attendees will leave feeling empowered to make lasting change in the lives of their families, workplace and community
  • Empower organizations of all sizes to create a healthier environment for their employees and promote a culture of health and well-being
  • Present evidence-based programs that improve employee health and productivity

Celebrity Nutritionist Zonya Foco is one of the most exciting, inspiring, vital and unforgettable speakers in America. Known as America’s Nutrition Leader, Zonya is the host of Zonya’s Health Bites, her weekly PBS show that has aired across the nation for over a decade. She is the author of the “fastest way to healthy” Lickety-Split Meals and Eat REAL cookbooks, as well as the creator of numerous life-changing online courses and livestreams. Georgette Kores, MS Workplace Wellbeing Post Pandemic: A Clearer Vision of the Future of Wellbeing
In this discussion, we looked at the US Surgeon General’s framework for Workplace Wellbeing, published in the Fall of 2022 and received actionable strategies based on this framework to implement in your worksites.

Lana M. Saal, EdD, MCHES, CWP Creating a Workplace Culture of Caring: Infusing Well-being to Energize Employee Engagement
This session focused on innovative methods to implement that will infuse and energize employee engagement through whole-person well-being through each of the six pillars (physical, emotional, occupational, social, spiritual, and intellectual) of well-being.

Kal Kseib, DPsych, MSc, MA Resilience through Relationships - How To Improve Trust in the Workplace
In this presentation we looked at how dynamics in the workplace can lead to stress and the impact this has on our relationships, productivity and, ultimately, on our well-being. 

Dr. Kristy Harvell 90% Consistency, 100% Success: How Practicing Healthy Habits Regularly Can Transform Employee Stress and Wellbeing
This session focused on the critical role of consistent healthy habits in managing workplace stress and improving employee health and wellbeing.

Dr. Meg Longyear Are Mental Health Days Affecting Your Bottom Line? 
This session examined the topic of mental health days and their impact on the workplace.

Anthony AustinFirst Coast News

Anthony Austin joined First Coast News in January 2016 as an anchor and reporter. He currently anchors the evening newscasts. The most memorable assignment Anthony’s done was his visit to Iraq. For a week, he spent time with soldiers from Fort Hood, Texas as they prepared to come home. He told their stories, sharing what they were doing for the United States with viewers in Texas. Anthony was there as they returned home to their loved ones. Outside of work, Anthony is a lover of good food and company. You can find him enjoying the restaurants and beautiful beaches in the Jacksonville area.


Florida Blue Presenter

Dr. Kelli Tice

Kelli Tice, MD, is a family physician with a background in public health who serves as GuideWell and Florida Blue’s Vice President, Medical Affairs and Chief Health Equity Officer. In this role, which she assumed in January 2022, Dr. Tice is responsible for creating solutions that improve health outcomes and address health inequities for GuideWell’s customers and communities.
