Chair

Carly McKimm

Carly McKimm is a Wellness Manager on the Health Designs team, where she supports employers nationwide in creating healthier, happier, more productive workplaces through corporate wellness initiatives – including biometric screening, wellbeing coaching, and ongoing programming. Carly began her professional career in health administration, but her true passion has always been to serve and empower others to live their healthiest, happiest lives, through health education. She believes that knowledge is truly the power that allows us to unlock limitless potential and achieve amazing outcomes. She earned her Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Florida and is certified in public health by the NBPHE. She continues to pursue further education in the wellness field. Carly enjoys spending time on the water, reading a good book, and cheering on the Jags with her husband and daughter.

Vice-Chair

Jay Noles

For the last 23 years, Jay has worked in the health and well-being space of both the public and private sectors of Jacksonville. During the last 9 years, Jay has worked with the Better You Team at Florida Blue supporting employer groups in and around the First Coast area. Currently, he is the Regional Manager of Northeast Florida where he leads a team of wellness professionals in developing, implementing, and evaluating best in class workplace well-being solutions for over 100 employer groups. With a team of regionally located wellness consultants, registered nurses, health educators, and analysts, Jay and his team are dedicated to supporting the Florida Blue Mission of helping people and communities achieve better health. Jay has an MBA in Healthcare Management and holds workplace wellness certifications through both the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) and the Chapman Institute. Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 children and their 2 dogs on the lake, at the beach, or hiking in the mountains of NC.

Treasurer

Brandon Norman

Brandon has been a part of our local worksite wellness community for nearly the past decade. As a Jacksonville native, graduate from the University of North Florida and a nine-year employee at the Jacksonville Port Authority, Brandon has been able to contribute to the community in different roles – the most recent being his position as Chair of the Wellness Committee at JAXPORT in recent years. His connection and involvement with local, regional and national communities has afforded the ability to understand and address the unique wellness needs of individuals in the public and corporate workforce. Brandon contributes to the Council several years of public accounting and finance experience as well as industry best practices for promoting safe, inclusive, engaging and rewarding Corporate Well-Being programs. Outside of the office, you can find Brandon at a community event or at the beach, tennis courts, or spending time with family and friends.

Meghan Ackerman

Meghan Ackerman is a Benefits Administrator II at The Haskell Company, an international construction, engineering, and architecture firm headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. With over 8 years of expertise in benefits administration, Meghan manages a robust benefits program that spans both domestic and international operations. Her responsibilities include overseeing the company’s 401k, analyzing benefit data, and developing/updating policies and procedures to ensure optimal employee satisfaction and retention. She is dedicated to enhancing team member wellness through initiatives such as biometric screenings, health fairs, webinars, and more.

Meghan’s career began in accounts payable, but her passion for benefits and wellness led her to specialize in this dynamic field. Committed to professional growth, she is currently pursuing her CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) certification and furthering her education in benefits and wellness management.

Residing in Jacksonville Beach with her husband, Greg, Meghan enjoys supporting college football (Go Vols!), attending Jaguars games, exploring local breweries, gardening, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Gina Gonnella 

Gina is a licensed Behavior Specialist & Health Coach passionate about promoting healthier lives through movement, lifestyle changes, and behavior programming. As a Product Manager at Florida Blue, she drives the conceptualization and design of new and existing products, collaborating with stakeholders and using market research to align development with company goals. With a background in education, Gina combines her love for teaching and wellness to create healthier workforces through education and empowerment. She also teaches aspiring Health Coaches as a faculty instructor at the Health and Wellness Coaching Academy and has extensive experience in eLearning design, enhancing training and onboarding experiences for remote teams. In her free time, Gina enjoys traveling, hiking, kickboxing, exploring new recipes, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and pets.

Ebony Berry

Ebony Berry has over 17 years of experience leading Fortune 500 cross-functional teams in the well-being and benefits space and collaborating with community partners and vendors.

Today, she continues to share her knowledge as an Adjunct Professor at Purdue University Global, specializing in Human Resources for Healthcare Organizations, Leadership and Ethics in Healthcare, and Creating Wellness for Psychological and Spiritual Aspects of Healing.

Ebony is a builder passionate about driving change while creating holistic, diverse, inclusive well-being programs and healthy cultures. She firmly believes that a positive attitude, abundant energy, and excellent communication skills are the keys to success in both career and daily life. One of Ebony’s favorite quotes is, “Get busy living or get busy dying” from the Shawshank Redemption.

She loves sports and enjoys dance fitness, cooking, writing, networking, and volunteering in her local community.

Kimberlee Flynn 

Kimberlee Flynn has over 20 years of experience in delivering employer health and benefit services. Throughout this time, she trained team members responsible for service delivery and customer sales and provided account management to group agents. As a Wellness Consultant, she works collaboratively with employers to design, implement, and evaluate well-being solutions to fit their unique needs. She supports employers in the development of strategic wellness plans, identify population health risks, and interventions to improve health outcomes. Her passion for helping people take an active role in their health is evident in the way she helps put employee wellbeing at the center of an employer’s workplace culture and create meaningful employee experiences.

Events Committee Lead

Jenn Harris

Jenn is a Program Manager at Health Designs, where she oversees carrier relationships to support clients' wellbeing programs, primarily through biometric screenings and program planning. A major part of her role is to act as the liaison between clients and the field team, relying on her strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to ensure seamless service delivery. Obtaining a bachelor's in exercise science and a master’s in health administration from the University of North Florida have prepared her to provide both practical, health-focused insights and the administrative expertise needed to lead and manage impactful wellness initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves. Outside of work, Jenn enjoys doing anything outdoors, spending time with her husband and family, or snuggling with one (or all) of her three cats.

Katie Sims 

Born and raised in Georgia, Katie embodies the essence of southern warmth and hospitality. For her, food, nutrition, and cooking are expressions of love and care for the people she holds dear. With a strong educational foundation in nutrition and dietetics from the University of North Florida, Katie is devoted to creating adaptable and accessible pathways to healthy living for all. Currently, Katie is a Client Engagement Coordinator at Baptist Health's PATH program, where she passionately builds and manages holistic wellness initiatives to support and strengthen her clients' well-being. Katie has also played an integral role in strengthening the organization's online presence. Through strategic planning and execution, she not only tripled the council's social media followership within four months but has also fostered greater community engagement and awareness. Driven by her belief in the power of a healthy community, she feels privileged to contribute to Jacksonville's well-being and is eager to continue making a positive impact.

Tori Snow

Tori Snow is a Jacksonville native, dedicated to helping others in her community to live healthier and happier lives. Tori earned a degree in Public Health from The University of North Florida and now has seven valuable years of experience in the industry. Currently, she serves as a Client Engagement Coordinator for PATH, where she helps companies create programs to help employees to achieve their health and wellness goals. In her time outside of work, Tori enjoys teaching yoga, walking her dog, and all outdoor activities including paddle boarding, camping, and hiking.

David Sneed

David is a Large Group Employee Benefits Specialist for the Jacksonville, FL office. Michael Clouser

Michael is a partner at Quintairos Prieto Wood & Boyer P.A., a large national law firm based in Florida. Michael leads the firm's Business Transactions and M&A group as well as the Sports & Entertainment group. 

He has spent the last twenty years working as corporate general counsel within Fortune 500 companies in the insurance and financial services industry. 

Earlier in his career, Michael built a successful sports agency practice where he represented numerous National Football League players in contract negotiations with NFL teams. He was recognized and quoted in the Wall Street Journal as one of the top NFL player agents for negotiating record setting deals on behalf of his NFL clients.  

He has earned professional designations as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP).

Michael graduated with honors in Accounting from the College of William & Mary and earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review.

Creative Technology Lead

Ethen Norton

Ethen is a former Army veteran with over six years of experience in HR and is currently serving as the HR Operations and Technology Manager at VTrips. He is also pursuing his MBA in a graduate program. Ethen is passionate about expanding the wellness culture on the First Coast, as he firmly believes that the wellness and well-being of our people are top priorities and essential driving forces for any organization. Senior Advisor

Cassie Bruce CWWS, CWPC

Cassie is an Employee Wellness Consultant who develops strategic, research-based wellness programs designed to empower employees to practice healthy lifestyle behaviors and mitigate underlying risks within the organization. Cassie builds relationships with local employers and facilitates the development of health & wellness programs for Baptist Health, Northeast Florida's largest healthcare system. Prior to working for Baptist, she spent 4 years as a Wellness Consultant for Harden, one of the Southeast's leading independent insurance agencies.

Cassie has continued to develop her knowledge of worksite wellness best practices by obtaining the designations of Certified Worksite Wellness Specialist (CWWS) through the National Wellness Institute and Certified Wellness Program Coordinator (CWPC) through the Chapman Institute. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has recently completed the Wellcoaches Health & Wellness Coach Certification.

Rachel McElreath Miller

Rachel is a Client Engagement Coordinator with Baptist Health PATH (Personalized Approach to Health) where she supports a variety of clients in their journey towards creating a meaningful wellness program at their workplace. Through programs such as biometric screenings, lunch and learns, challenges, and health coaching, Rachel's main goal is to bring impactful wellness programs to First Coast employers.  With experience in university wellness, children’s health and wellness, and worksite wellness, Rachel has touched several areas within the field. Jaime Kennedy

Jaime Kennedy is a native of Neptune Beach and joined The Bailey Group/NFP in 2012 as a key member of the Well-Being & Engagement team, formally promoted to Director in 2015.  With a master’s degree in public health from the University of North Florida (UNF) and a certification as a Wellness Program Manager (CWPM), she leads her clients in providing strategic, consultative guidance to support their goals of reducing healthcare costs by focusing on prevention. Jaime moved to the Corporate Benefits team in 2018 with a role to further support her clients with developing multi-year strategies, contribution plans that integrate wellness with benefits, and high-level planning that ensures the benefits strategy is aligned with the overall business strategy.
