Join us for a free, virtual meeting on August 31st at 11:30 am. Given the current state of COVID-19, return to office/remote work concerns, back to school transition, and more... mental health is more important now than ever!

During this informational meeting, attendees will:

- Learn the different definitions of mental health and understand the stigma and language around the topic

- Review significant and meaningful mental health data

- Identify strategies to address mental health and what you can do both as a community member and a wellness professional

- Have the opportunity to register for a FREE Mental Health First Aid Training to be held on Friday, September 10th from 9 am - 5 pm

Katrina Robinson-Wheeler, LMHC, LPC, MCAP, SAP

Katrina Robinson-Wheeler is the Outreach/Education Director, Mental Health First Aid Instructor and an Educator at Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare, a community-based behavioral health treatment agency in Nassau County, Florida, where she has worked for the past 20 years. Katrina has worked in several different capacities in the agency; 11 years as a therapist specializing in Women’s Substance Use Disorder and Trauma treatment, and five years in management as the Behavioral Health Team Leader and Clinical Director.

Katrina received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2009 from Webster University, and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Florida), Licensed Professional Counselor (Georgia) Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional, Substance Abuse Professional, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Practitioner , and a Qualified Supervisor. Katrina developed and implemented Starting Point’s Women’s Program in 2006. Katrina is a graduate of the National Council for Behavioral Health’s inaugural Addressing Health Disparities Leadership Program in 2010-2011, and a graduate of the Leadership Nassau leadership program 2014. She has also been a part of the Partnership for a Healthier Nassau since its inception in 2010-2014. 

Katrina received the Professional of the Year awards for both Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) and the Florida Certification Board (FCB) in 2007. Katrina completed Mental Health First Aid instructor training in February 2014 and has trained over 3,000 Mental Health First Aiders in the NE Florida Region.  Katrina was ranked among the top 100 Mental Health First Aid instructors nationwide in both 2017 and 2018 (out of over 15,000 instructors).
